Bar Peeling Geometries

Boehlerit is attracting a lot of attention in the metal cutting industry with its new turning geometries and is setting new standard in bar peeling with its updated indexable insert program.

The new BFM geometry is for light depths of cut form 0.0016" to 0.031". The BU universal chip breaker is ideal for steels with hardness ranging form 120 to 240 Brinell - and covers a very broad machining range. BWL geometry has been developed for materials with hardness 180 to 300 Brinell. The new generation of indexable inserts is easier to use and controls chips in a wide range of materials.

In addition to its standard assortment of indexable inserts for bar peeling, Boehlerit also offers custom-made turning heads, cassettes, a and engineering services. Time consuming setup work is now a thing of the past. Setting times and, consequently, costs are slashed. The Boehlerit bar peeling system is also designed for optimized surface finishes and tight tolerances.
