LMT USA
Inc. provides bar-peeling
heads and inserts for new bar-peeling machines as well as retrofit
for older machines. Our
bar-peeling heads utilize quick-change cartridges and a
central adjustment of tool holders, resulting in maximum flexibility
and size adjustments. LMT USA's bar-peeling inserts are premium
grade and use advanced grade coating technology to insure precision
parts and maximum tool life.
Bar Peeling and Scaling
The processing of stock materials for the production
of round steel and tubular products (loop production) is being increasingly
done on bar peeling machines. The method is extremely cost
efficient.
Advantages of Bar Peeling include:
- removal of burrs
- removal of decarbonizes surface layers
- removal of surface defects and fissures
- dimensional precision of blank surfaces
Indexable Inserts for Bar Peeling Operations without
chip breaker.
- Especially for the processing of bar steel
products with higher elasticity limits and high percentage of
molybdenum and vanadium carbides
- For raw products with a poorer forging and
rolling characteristics
- Bar Peeling of raw materials such as titanium,
cobalt and nickel based alloys, heat resistant steels and mertensitic
steel. Recommended setting angle æ=25¸.
Bar Peeling inserts are secured by means of an
octagonal clamping plate made of hardened tool steel, which at
the same time serves as a chip breaker and can be adjusted to compensate
for progressive wear. It is also possible to mount two bar peeling
inserts in one tool holder.
Indexable Inserts For Bar Peeling Operations With
Chip Breaker.
- Optimum formation of chips
- Reduced power consumption
- For processing steels with low tensile strength
- For processing Cr-Ni steels
